I've been considering subscribing to i-D magazine for ages, and these covers may have won me over. I especially love eliza cummings, top center.
Also, can't say I'm a fan of sex and the city, but its on and I can't seem to find the remote, and that one scene where Aiden picks up the redhead, (name is failing me, even though I just watched it...) when her neck is out. Its just really sweet, and I'm rambleing. ..sorry.

azumi and david
I'd love to say that this is my favorite azumi and david piece, but honestly I can't pick a favorite. All of their stuff is so incredible. You know how there is that person who is constantly trying to make it big with their 'inventions'. Well, somehow these two actually pulled it off. Its kind of wearable art, and who doesn't like that?
Edgy Punk
From Shiny Squirrel. Obtained a hat crush probably due to color and floppyness. And general awesomeness. The rest of the show was not bad, not incredible, but respectable. Charles Anastase Fall '09.
She is Sam
Samantha Pleet is a young fashion designer who's most recent collaboration has been with UO called Rapscallion. Its full of jumpsuits and big gold buttons. And her spring lookbook's pretty neat too. Its a video, with a hipster romeo and juliet feel.
Samantha Pleet - AW09 from Samantha Pleet on Vimeo.
UO also managed to snag her for an interview where you can see her husband,
Or you can visit her site and see news and showroom details. And keep an eye out for her line in UO stores near you. (P.S. did you know they started in Philly? Me neither.)

chewing on caffiene
i am not one for runway show pics, however these from Graeme Black's fall '09 line caught my eye. sticking with the architectural theme of the fashion world these days, but not visually unappealing, as is sometimes the case.
on another note, i'm seeing caffeinated gum everywhere and i'm pretty sure it used to be illegal. wonder what changed. not complaining though, i don't think... trying to forget how easy this makes it for my little brother to become another caffiene addict. its my concerned parent impulse.
Wedding Bells
Karl Lagerfield's spring line looks like something out of a wedding magazine. A wedding magazine with no fashion director, whose editor is blind.

Drinks all around!
Whenever we let my mom choose which restaurant she would like to go to she picks Thai 99 (thai food...) and I always get about 3 Thai iced coffee's. Which doesn't end well. However when I found out how this, instructions for Vietnamese iced coffee, I was exstatic. They two drinks are close enough that now I get my fix and make my nauseous from too much caffiene and sugar in the comfort of my own home. *sigh*

Huh
From fashion indie. Guys at the Calvin Klein show. They just look out of place. I wonder if they talked to each other. Its an entertaining thought (no? just me?). "Hey, Kayne, I heard you claim your the voice of our generation. Heads up, your a douche. But I appreciate your latest 80's influenced CD." "Yeah, well, Chase, your every 13 year old girl's crush, nothing to brag about." "You know Jared, I rather liked My So Called Life." "Yeah, well thanks patrick, it was a great starting point, you weren't bad in Running with Scissors. Then again I like kinda dark cynical stuff like that."
Didn't know I had all of that in me...

Shop Flick
I'm a newbie, by which I mean I've never heard of this on before. Shopflick, its like the shopping channel only better. They give you a deal on something from a unique jewelry piece to that clutch you've seen everywhere but haven't wanted to splurge on, but the deal lasts a day only. Everyone loves a sale, more so when we don't think about how much we'd save if we over came our shopping addictions altogether... The deal today is the red soviet necklace.Only 1 hour left, but don't worry there's always tommorrow.
What!? Opening Ceremony's online store is finally open. Good thing I lost my debit card. Or purposefully misplaced it....

Running through NY
Instead of a runway show Halston opted to film some models running through NY. And jumping. And dodging silver balloons. Could runway shows become a thing of the past?

Happy Valentines day. Although in reality I'm protesting it.
Question: Do you believe in love? In that it is as powerful and amazing as people say. And, more importantly, do you believe that people know when they are in love?
The thought process behind this being, if two siblings never met and then met and fell in love and the find out they are siblings, is it wrong, and can they actually be in love?

Tights
I all tights were as cool as bebaroque's, I probably wouldn't have been so annoyed when I heard we'd have 6 more weeks of winter.

Shaggy
An ode to no one.
On my way home, as I was walking down my hall I heard this conversation:
Person: Yo Man
Person #2: Yo
Person: Open up man
Person#2: What do you want, man?
Person: My girl just caught me
Person #2: You let her catch you?
Person: I don't know ho I let this happen.
Person #2: With who?
Person: The girl next door, you know.
Person #2: Man
Person: I don't know what to do.
Person #2: Say it wasn't you.
Person: Alright
Ok, so it was the song, but the great part was it was absolutely blasting, and the man who walked out of the apartment was ancient. And I'm talking completely bald, definitely shrunken and positively adorable with apparently amazing music taste.
